Honoring the Legacy of a Beloved Son and Community Member through The Marquis Foundation Greatness can arise from tragedy. The loss of our son Marquis Richey, who was senselessly murdered at the young age of 28, changed our lives forever. Marquis was a kind soul who cherished his family and friends and had a deep commitment to helping others. To keep his memory and mission alive, we established The Marquis Foundation:

Introducing the Speak Out Community Workshops by The Marquis Foundation

Elijah and Joy Richey have established The Marquis Foundation which will now offer Speak Out Community Workshops. These sessions will feature live interviews with community activists, survivors of violence, and their families. The objective is to create a secure and welcoming environment where the diverse voices in our community can share their stories and access the necessary resources for healing.

Providing Assistance to Those in Need – Our Outreach and Awareness Initiatives

Our program is committed to providing year-round support to homeless and distressed individuals in our community. We distribute various non-perishable food items, personal hygiene products, laundry detergent, pampers, and more to those in need. So far, our program has successfully served 400 of our neighbors. But our efforts don't stop there. We strive to engage our community and raise awareness of the plight of those in need. Through blood drives, we have received donations from kind-hearted supporters and saved 60 lives. Moreover, we offer scholarships and mentor programs as part of our effort to embrace, equip, and empower others.
